This part is generated from a hand-written, print-tested OpenSCAD module — the same numbers always produce the same geometry. It is not an AI guess, and it does not cost a credit. Print notes for this part
- Module must match the mating gear exactly — this and the spur gear share the same tooth geometry, so a rack cut at module 2 only meshes with a module-2 gear, regardless of tooth count.
- Print flat with the teeth facing up for the cleanest tooth profile; on its side, each tooth is built from stacked layers and the flanks come out visibly stepped.
- For a run longer than your build plate, print it in sections with a flat butt joint — cutting mid-tooth leaves a weak point exactly where the two halves have to carry load.
